Aviation Heritage Museum

Not the first I would have though to take my 3 year old,but he absolutely loved it!!!
"Mum, Mum can we go in the helicopter?"
there is an old plane and helicopter at the museum which the kids can sit in a play inside and pretend to fly the plane.
It's a great place to take the kids and show them some war time history and even pickup some history yourself.
Its not cheap to go in $10 for adults but the place is solely run by volunteers who are extremely friendly and full of information.
There are a few planes and aircrafts around where the kids can press buttons and watch them light up or make different noises.

There are ropes around all the aircrafts where the children cannot go past but we had to pull our kids out a few times but other than that a great place to spend and hour or so with the family
