Cable Beach Broome

Want miles and miles of beach for the kids to run around on, you can go for walks on, watch one of the most famous sunsets In the world and go for a camel ride? Cable Beach is your answer.

Ive been to cable beach a few times but never with kids, this was the first time and we'll be going back everyday we are here. The sand closest to the water is hard to you can walk on it no worries and it's fantastic to take your prams and strollers on too. The kids had so much fun digging the sand and playing in the water. We ended up taking the car down to the allowed beach area and watched the camel arrive and leave for their tour walks down the beach. We found a little lagoon the kids played in the ages on the beach too, so we are able to park the car close by and sit with the kids while they played. The planes fly overhead when the are landing and also the helicopters come over the beach often, the kids thought that was "pretty cool" to watch also.

Yes the beach does get pretty busy especially at sunset but there is so much space you done have to worry. There is also a grassed area at the top of the beach, a playground, cafe and a bar/ restaurant.

The sun does get pretty hot in the dry season, so don't forget to take the sunscreen and a hat for the kids. If you happen to have a beach umbrella or a beach tent, then I would recommend taking it down and setting it up on the beach.
