Where do you start? This zoo is fantastic and you could spend most of the day there walking around and looking at all the animals.
The zoo is very large so if you have small children and have a pram I recommend it.
Our favourite part of the zoo was the gorilla exhibit. We took our 2YO and when we went in to see the gorilla they were eating. One of the large males was sitting in front of the glass eating and when my son put his hand up on the glass the gorilla mimicked what he did. We stayed there for a little while, while the two interacted.
There are so many animals to see, the lions, polar bear, black bear, anaconda snake, big birds, monkeys, flamingos, hippo, penguins and many more.
At night during the christmas period, the zoo is lit up with small fairy lights everyone and is meant to be amazing. We were there in the morning so didn't stay for this.
Definitely a must do if you visit Denver.
if you can take your own packed food I recommend it as the food court isn't the healthiest.
