Incredibly well managed attraction
It's no wonder this place has won so many tourism awards. Check out the website for the full list of things to see. It's fantastically well packaged and easy to enjoy. The ticket price includes a night camping/caravanning (powered) and tours are run every half an hour throughout the day. There is no extra charge for the tours, just arrive at the departure point and go along., if the kids cant keep quiet, just drop off and explore by yourself. If you stay the night there are also night tours that light up some of the historical buildings and show some of the wildlife, again, all included in the price.
The icing on the cake, the ticket price includes a 2 year return visit!
Only warning is that as a historical attraction there are parts that would be challenging for wheelchairs or prams with unsealed surfaces and stairs. Avoid using the pram. They do offer a courtesy car to get down to the lower section so this may be sufficient for disabled access.
