Pont du Gard
Overall rating

Amazing sight and child friendly.

I visited the Pont du Gard with my son in law and two grandsons, aged five and nine. The sight of the bridge was amazing and although the boys looked at the bridge it did not have the same impression on them as it did for the adults. However, they loved all the space there, with lawned areas, children playground and sealed paths where they could ride their scooters. We paid 18 euro per car and this gave us entry into the museum. We watched a short film on the history of the bridge and then visited the museum. The boys enjoyed both the film and the museum and were fascinated with some of the displays in the museum. I would highly recommend this as a great place to visit with kids. It was not too crowded when we visited but imagine in the busy tourist season it could get very busy in the area around the museum and cafe area. However, there is plenty of space on the other side of the bridge for children to run around and play, along with having a picnic.
