Snow Village Snow Hotel is a magical world of ice and snow. Each year, around 20 million kilos of snow and 350 000 kilos of crystal clear natural ice are used to build the spectacular Snow Village Snow Hotel which changes in shape, size and design to amaze visitors year after year.

Covering an area of about 20 000 square metres, the Snow Village consists of a Snow Hotel, with snow rooms and suites, Ice Restaurant, Ice Cocktail Bar, Chapel, a slide and a vast network of striking corridors full of spectacular snow and ice art to explore.

Please note that this attraction is listed only as a day visit to the hotel, not as an overnight guest at the hotel.

WOW - amazing, have never seen anything like it!

This place is just amazing. I actually could not understand how a whole hotel could be made out of ice until I got here! Obviously it isn't all made from ice - the bathrooms are not for obvious reasons. But the rooms, bar and everything else is. We were lucky enough to visit when some of the rooms were still being sculpted and we were enthralled by the craftsmanship and imagination. They actually start from scratch each year! There are wonderful carvings everywhere which change very year and it is like a magical palace for the kids to see. The best bit for them was the ice slide in the centre of the hotel which they are allowed to use as much as they like. We drove here and it was easy to find and we enjoyed a warm coffee and snack in the very good tearoom afterwards. We bumped into a tour group which meant there was loads of people there for a short period but we just waited it out until they left and then had the place almost to ourselves again. I wouldn't stay there the night with kids (temps at about 0c which felt much warmer than the outside temp of -15c) but as a place to visit it was WONDERFUL. Love it. Must do when in Finland.
